My original intention for this vase was my patron saint, but God had other plans. This piece started out with lots of prayers for Saint Olga's intercession over the last few weeks which then turned into a few digital drawings leading to the design. Along with Saint Olga there are four native Alaskan wildflowers carved ( Bunchberry, Wild Lupine, Alaska Poppy, Snow Arnica) along with one of her quotes "God can create great beauty from complete desolation." I know I have personally and through others lives experienced God working to create beauty out of the most desperate situations...always working things together for our salvation.
